Job Title : Interior Designer/Kitchen Designer – Leave Replacement

Reports to : Owner

Position Type : Hourly, 20–40 hrs/week; temp to perm

Hourly Pay Range : $25 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience

Location : Huntington, NY – On-site Monday to Thursday, Work From Home on Fridays

Position Description : We are a well-established residential design firm based in Huntington, NY, seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer for a leave replacement role, with the potential to become a permanent position. This is an hourly role offering 20 to 40 hours per week, based on current project needs.

Key Requirements

• Must be local and within commuting distance to Huntington, NY
• On-site availability Monday through Thursday; remote work on Fridays
• Minimum 5 years of residential interior design experience, with a proven track record of top-quality performance
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable CAD software
• Experience with space planning, sourcing, and project coordination
• Excellent design sensibility and professional communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
• Familiarity with Chief Architect is a plus
• Experience with kitchen design is a strong plus
• Strong sales background with client-facing skills and the ability to attract and service high-end clients is a strong plus

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Be self-motivated and capable of managing projects from concept through installation
• Demonstrate confidence in specifying finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and materials
• Be proactive, organized, and resourceful in client communication and problem-solving
• Bring a high level of professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail to every project
